The West Watch Neighborhood Group

About Us

We are a community crime watch group whose goal is to make our neighborhood a safer and nicer place to live and visit. This goal can be accomplished by getting to know our neighbors better, keeping our eyes and ears open for things that are happening in our neighborhood, and calling someone when something seems suspicious or out of place. It may be as simple as telling your neighbor that their car windows are open or their outside light is burned out. It could be calling the police when you see a suspicious person or car in the neighborhood or of course, a crime in progress. The focus of The West Watch is on crime prevention: There isn't too much that we can do after a crime has been committed.

The West Watch is committed to keeping everyone informed of what is going on in the neighborhood and in the city. We do this by having monthly meetings, with guest speakers when possible, via our monthly newsletter The Reporter by via email.

Volunteers are the heart of The West Watch. We are always looking for those willing to help maintain the peace, and safety of our neighborhood. We need people on a regular basis to help with the delivery of The Reporter. We like to keep our meetings interesting and informative; we welcome your ideas regarding topics and speakers. Everyone is encouraged to take part and be an active member of our group, neighborhood and community. Thanks for taking the time to read about us and getting involved.
